Clarity is key. I know what I want, what I need and who I am. My Coach helped me get clear on my priorities and get laser focused. That allowed me to create a new website that reflects my values, skills and personality. I now attract the people I want to work with. Coaching has helped me stay focused and accountable for things I commit to.

Here are some of my favorite podcasts: The New Yorker Fiction series… New Yorker Authors read a favorite story of another New Yorker author, followed by an always-interesting discussion (if you’re still awake). You’ll either be engaged or you’ll be sleeping. Both are very very good.
Many families would do well to consider other types of post-secondary education – http://castingbom10.dothome.co.kr/?document_srl=1842 for their kids. Perhaps learning a marketable trade is the way to go. There will always be a need for auto mechanics, electricians, carpenters, beauticians, make-up artists, and workers with other hands-on skills. These jobs will not disappear and cannot be shipped overseas. Or, one might consider investing in a small business or franchise. Become an entrepreneur. Pursue your culinary skills. Follow your artistic dreams. Or, attend college not as a four year vacation with beer parties, drug parties, hooking up and easy courses as the main attraction. But pursue your degree with the primary goal of learning marketable skills.
Certain other statistics are collected such as time when the emotion was recorded as well as where the writer was and if possible age and gender. These feelings are then transformed into animated coloured dots of different sizes depending on how long the description of the feeling was. These dots dance around on a dark back ground. The software comes with all sorts of tools that allow one to analyse the information further.
A further project that he showed for the first time at the conference was called Universe. It is a software application that searches through news of the world and then compiles the events into a constellation of words and images. It’s like a tag cloud of the world’s collective consciousness.
I download hyperlinking to the TED chats – http://www.dogful.com/streams/p/160587/ to my iPod and listen to them when stuck in traffic on the freeways of LA. In between listening to these talks, my Dad, step-mom and I had some pretty deep and lively conversations about topics ranging from seed banks to alleviating global poverty to new technological advancements. We talked about subjects we normally wouldn’t, and we enjoyed it! The beauty of TED is that chosen speakers are absolutely passionate and excited about their role in their field. They are innovative thinkers and their enthusiasm is amazingly catchy! I share this as one source for powerful conversations.
Stacy and Clinton go through Jessica’s wardrobe and find jeans with sequined embellishments, skirts with tulle layers billowing out, lots of funky prints, and flimsy polyester tops that “belong in a 13-year-old’s closet.” When they’re done, there’s nothing left–Jessica will be completely starting over.
Teachers in group settings behave worse than students – one of those ironies in life. However, the audience was also bored by the speech. Although the speaker promoted himself as a Futurist he was really a ‘Pastist’ because Cloud Computing is here and now and predicted by Futurists years ago. It is odd to have a Futurist talk about present developments but not talk about future ones.
TED stands for Technology, Entertainment, and Design, though it has since broadened to other areas. It was started in 1984, with the first conference convening in 1990. It is owned by a 501 (c)(3) called The Sapling Foundation. Their theme is “Ideas worth spreading. ” Each year they hold a conference bringing in some of the best and the brightest speakers and innovators. Some of their speakers have included Bill Clinton, Al Gore, Bill Gates, James Cameron, and other household names.
